Joe Noro returns to the Licking County Settlers organization as head coach for the 2015 season after serving as an assistant on the 2013 GLSCL championship squad. A native of Aspinwall, Pennsylvania, Coach Noro attended Fox Chapel Area High School. He began his collegiate baseball career at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, AL. As a freshman, Mr. Noro tied for the team lead in appearances on the mound. During his sophomore campaign, Mr. Noro posted a 10-1 record and was awarded an All-Region selection. Mr. Noro transferred to the University of Montevallo in 2009 to continue his playing career, and later graduated from Montevallo with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Mr. Noro launched his coaching career at Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, AL. During his two seasons as an assistant coach at Lawson State, Mr. Noro served as the pitching coach as well as heading outfield play. In the summer of 2013, Mr. Noro served as the pitching coach for the Settlers. His staff led the GLSCL in ERA, WHIP and total runs allowed, playing a vital role for the Settlers as they earned their second-consecutive GLSCL title. Now in his second season as the pitching coach at Calhoun Community College, Mr. Noro looks to add to last season’s success, in which the Warhawk pitching staff posted a 3.52 ERA – good for second best in the ACCC Northern Division.

Coach Harwood was born and raised in Scottsville, KY where he graduated from Allen County-Scottsville High School. After high school he attended Calhoun Community College in Decatur, AL and was a member of the baseball team in 2008 and 2009. Graduating from Calhoun with an Associates in General Education in 2009, Coach Harwood went on to continue his playing career at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN where he received a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and was a member of the 2010 NAIA National Championship team. Mr. Harwood then went on to become an assistant coach at Cumberland under Hall of Fame coach Woody Hunt. In 2013 and 2014, Harwood was an assistant coach at Calhoun Community College under Head Coach Mike Burns. In 2014, Mr. Harwood was hired as the Head Coach at Warren Central High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Erik Schoenrock

Coach Schoenrock is from Memphis, TN, where he graduated from Collierville High School in 2010. After high school, he was a pitcher for the University of Memphis from 2011 to 2013, playing for head coach and father, Daron Schoenrock. Following a breakout season in his junior year in 2013, Schoenrock was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Year after posting a 7-4 record, with a 3.05 ERA, while leading the conference in complete games (5) and shutouts (2). He was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 11th round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He was a Northwest League All-Star in his first year playing in Eugene, Oregon, after posting a 2-3 record, 2.51 ERA, and 52 strikeouts in 57.1 innings pitched. Following rotator cuff and labrum surgery in January 2014, and a year of physical therapy, he retired from professional baseball. He was hired in January 2015 by Buzz Walthall as the Pitching Coach at St. George’s Independent School in Collierville, TN, where he helped lead a talented Gryphons’ pitching staff to the school’s first Region Title in the program’s history.
